Background
This project has been developed in recognition of the challenging initial teacher training and induction current newly qualified teachers have experienced. LETTA’s Recently Qualified Teacher Programme has been specifically designed to support teachers entering their second year in 2021-2022.
Programme aims
- To guide NQT+1 teachers to focus on learning the things that make the most difference in the classroom and their professional practice.
- Introduce NQT+1 teachers to research and evidence-based practices that will strengthen and develop pedagogy.
- Provide support and guidance to NQT+1 teachers to overcome the challenges and disruptions faced during their ITT and induction, and to thrive in the profession.

Professional Development Days
Tuesday 9 November 2021, 1.30-4.30pm
Tuesday 11 January 2022, 9.30am-3.30pm
Tuesday 1 March 2022, 1.30-4.30pm
Tuesday 14 June 2022, 9.30am-3.30pm
Peer Review
NQT+1 teachers will undertake a peer review between March-June. This will require two school visits and will take the equivalent time of one working day.
